Alright, back story: I'm finishing my motor swap and when i start the car up I think the starter wont disengage, its making the same sound as when you try to turn the key on a car thats already running and wont stop until i shut the motor back off.

I already burned up one starter so far and i just put a new one on and its stilling making the same noises, so I'm pretty sure its not the starter itself.

Do i need to shim it? or am i looking at an electrical problem? or am i just running into problems using a M50 starter on a S52 block? :(

What do you guys think?

You've probably got something wired wrong.

Hmmm...The two little black (-) wires maybe? That would be the only thing I think of.

Just and update in case any one else might run into a similar problem in the future and use the search function; I shimmed the starter with a couple of washers and problem solved.
