Hitachi vs PC

My local tool lending library has a 7 inch hitachi RO polisher...I see most posters here recommending the PC units. I'm a rookie user and was wondering if there is anything special about PC units that make it safer to use than the hitachi 7 inch. I would get my own pads. This is primarily for swirl removal; where can I get the right pads in that size for swirl removal, and what sort of adapters do I need?

Don't use a rotary unless you've used one before.

You will screw up your paint if not. Just get a PC
