HELP! Can't install front collars for Ground Control

I am trying to install a Ground Control kit for a friend on his 1991 525i. The problem is; I cannot get the front collars to fit over the strut housing.

The threded collar is too small on the inside to fit over the outside of the strut housing. On top of that, the collar is also to long to fit below the strut retaining cap/nut even if I could install it.

Anyone run into this problem before? I'm hoping for a quick answer before I call Ground Control tomorrow.

GC collars are specifically to slide over Koni struts.

If you have another strut brand or the GC collars are for another model car, you could have issues.

Call up Ground Control. When I had mine installed, they also sent me the wrong part, apparently there are several E34's that "require a different part". Anyhoo, call them up and let them know, they'll next day you the correct parts.
