i saw this car first hand as well. it needs the ENTIRE ews system which is quite diff to source w/o the engine itself. the groupN 'blackbox' is near impossible to find as well. the ptg unit is very expensive but would prob be the easiest way to get the car started unless you're willing to wait to locate the ews components.

aside from the car being 'scratched up' :), the welds on the entire rear subframe have literally 'detached' themselves from the frame and the surrounding sheet metal needs to be refabricated and replaced, a $2000 job easily, just to get the car roadworthy. this isn't mentioned in the ebay ad.

who in the hell would pay to have that motor sourced and installed and leave the 318i drivetrain intact? those components may last for a week or so? please.

this is a nightmare project, hopefully whoever winds up owning this car realizes that $8k is a decent price at best for a euro 3.2 motor that does not include ews.

the motor (after ews system is located and installed) needs a new donor car.
