was wondering if i could add a performance chip to increase horsepower mpg and overall performance and even if its a lease i could take out the chip before i get service and it wont screw anything up with the ecu or engine?
and if i were to get the chip which do you prefer ???

While that may have been true 15-20 years ago, current engines are in a very high state of tune from the factory and no chip will give you (with the non-forced-induction engine) much more than 10 hp.

I would not recommend engine mods on a lease. I am almost certain it is against the lease terms and you would be breaking the contract, thus if BMW discovers it, it is their right to force you to buy the car at lease end, or ask for compensation.
But regardless, on a 328, tunes will have minimal gains, probably at the expense of gas mileage.

Don't do it! I moded my previous E90 328 and to be honest wasn't worth it. I did the AfE CAI, exhaust and the BMS Powerbox and the gain was barely noticeable. Keep your car the way it is it's a fine driving machine. That and it's a lease so anything you do could bite you in the end

I have a K&N air filter I will give you, just pay shipping. Honors system through check or money order. It has about 10k miles on it, if that. Just let me know send me a pm. Its taking up room in my garage and I refuse to just throw it out

i also leased a 2011 328i. only thing i have done is tints, and black BMW badges. its not a car to mod ( engine wise) you should have gotten a 335i if you wanted to mod.
