I wanted something to set my E38 out from the others... well besides the Mercedes wheels and the color. I had bought the lamin-x a few months ago and decided to finally give it a shot. Not sure if I love it or hate it yet, but I'll give it a few miles and see if it grows on me or not.

Comments more than welcome, for good or ill.

And got a French plate to go with the theme, for shows and meets, not daily useage.

I also set the coils down a touch more.

a wee little too low for me, and are your low beams yellow too?

Yes, the entire headlamp and fog lamp have a yellow film covering, easy to apply, easy to remove as well.

And thats the beauty of adjustable suspension, I can change it in 10 min all around to adjust to my liking.... which does change here and again depending my mood.

You think my car is long, you should see my.....

It may be the color that makes it seem longer, it's standard length for an iL

10 minutes to change height? dang, if that involves jacking up the car, removing 4 wheels, and then putting them back on... your awfully quick my friend :D

As for the lights they certainly don't take away the beauty of the car but i don't think they add any :)

nice ride btw

10 min to jack the wheels off the ground, side by side, no need to remove anything, I can still fit in there and adjust the perches. Its a tight fit, but I can get in there.

And the lights are more of a tool to feed my attention whore side, if they took away from the car, id lose em, but for now Im kind of digging the different look they give.

and thank you.

Love the color....Hate the wheels. :)

Does look like a Impala SS in that color with those wheels.

It doesnt so much in person, but I can see what you guys are saying, ha :shifty

As for the wheels, I may paint the centers a differnt color when I take them apart to strip and repolish the lips. Also, I am working on another set of splits now, but they are 18's so i'm not sure if I want to use them on the e38 or not.

As for French cars they only have the high beam yellow

In a modern sense, yes. I was going for the old school look (even though the E38 was produced after 92 when the laws changed, I know) where the entire lamp was colored to distinguish where the owner of the car lived, France rather than Germany.

C'est certain que c'est beau avec le film jaune sur les phares.

Sadly, many people ignore France's contributions to the world. (Yellow headlamps are not one of them)

Kissing is my favorite French contribution... but lets not forget chivalry, champagne, trebuchets, good chocolate, and lots of chicks with sexy accents!

France sucks. Does your car now automatically pull over when a faster car approaches?

Please note sarcastic tone, I don't want any Frenchies getting their panties bound up.

Looks like you need your lights polished. Maybe do just the highs?

There is none because it is an integral part of how we make love. :eyebrows

But really, it is literally translated as preliminaries.
