My girlfriend and I plan on picking it up on Sat. still. There apparently was a typo on the loan application when the lady filled it out on the phone. It should be cleared and approved tommorow morning. :(

I do not know if they have been updated, and neither does the previous owner. I do not know how to contact the original owner. The car is in perfect working order, however.

You sure about that? You told me the original owner was a family member? Also, any car whose engine was replaced due to the supercharger that is still on it, I would be questioning a whole lot, especially for $5K over market value.:dunno

Look, I told you that my uncle was the previous owner, not the original owner. Quit hijackin my thread. If you don't like the price, don't buy it. Alot of other people on the board seem to think it's a good deal, along with the dozen or so people that have either e mail me or called me about it.
And the engine failure was not due to the supercharger, it was because the first owner ran it without oil, learn to read, moron.

If so I would be interested in it if the price was dropped to the $12K to $15K range. The range is so broad due to the condition factor. But I believe that $15M is definitely top dollar.
Thanks for your consideration.

I think you guys are way to harsh ... Give me a break advantage -- if you offered $12K-15K ... I'd tell you to go f*ck yourself as well.
It has 60K miles on the chassis -- which is low mileage to begin with. It has a 30K engine in it. It's a Dinan blower ... which = reliability and peace of mind for most people. I think it's a decent price, not the BEST price .. but, it's definitely not outrageous.
1995 M3's -- go find me a 60K mile, avus blue for less than $15K ... If his car is in great condition as he says, this adds about $2K to the selling price.
So, he is asking $3K for all of the items on the car ... that's not bad IMO. Perhaps he could have been more tactful in his replies (which BTW Tx_blownM3 -- you are going to be a piss-poor lawyer if you cannot be more tactful :)) ... but, there's no need to crap his thread.
Most people want the ROCK BOTTOM price on a car ... yet, for myself at least, I am willing to pay a slight premium for a PERFECT car ... it's well worth it in force induction. You know I have an AA turbo 99 M3 ... I am selling mine as well and asking a premium, because I know my car is in friggin' AWESOME condition .... and everyone around me would attest to it ...
If a person in force induction sells their car cheap -- I would say 99% of the time, it is BECAUSE there is something wrong with the car and they want to dump it. So, with force induction, I definitely think you will pay a premium for a car running great ..
just my opinion guys .. not trying to be an a$$ about it ... but, I think some people are being to harsh and CHEAP here ...
oh yeah *bump* .. :)

I agree advantage. I just think $15K is not a reasonable offer. $17K would be a reasonable bona fide offer IMO.
1) true, interior has wear. Mine doesn't b/c of wet okole covers, so, could I put 10/10?? heheh ...
2) exterior -- well, this is not to much of a concern. I think with a good PC orbital, the purchaser could get rid of the scratches, if any. Then again, it IS a 1995, so, some scratches are to be expected. Unless you are like me and purchase two parking spots side by side and park in the middle of them, heheh ...:)
4) Blower -- I thought it was just rebuilt in the middle of 2003? April or something? The blower is not something to worry about, I would worry about the oil return lines and the belt prior to the unit itself. Dinan's blowers are usually rock solid.
5) I agree here ... with my car at least, I give my mechanic's information, AFR charts, etc ... So, he does need to provide more information than just saying it is running good. You can have excellent afr's and still have detonation because of to much timing being pulled back. Then again, I think he might not really "know" as much about f/i ... just my guess ...
6) don't know this one ... only he could answer. Usually, there might be to much play?
7) true ... new engines detract from the car .. but, if compression and leak tests are run, you should not be worried. Heck, I offer people a sample of my oil to check how good the engine is. I give them compression and leak numbers, etc...
You are right advantage ... more information is needed ... but, I just thought some of the comments could be handled in a private message or email ... I mean, if he wants to sell it, he'll lower his price. If he can't provide the information ... then, he won't sell it, simple as that ...

Well, the arguing, low-balling, and general trash-talking can cease, as the car left my garage this morning with its new owner, who bought the car for asking price.
And I don't need to be tactful with these keyboard commandos, they don't deserve tact; they don't use it, so why should I? And who gives a shit, it's an internet chat board? I don't think anything that is ever said on here will ever affect my courtroom performance.
So, you guys just continue to bitch and moan about how the car isn't worth $20,000 as it has become a moot point.
Peace out

:buttrock nice... I feel you, if someone who's being an asshole low balls me, I will straight up tell them to go fuck themselves too, but if they're being nice, but then low ball, I won't be as harsh.
I agree, that offer of 12-15k was too low, wayyyy too low

Lol .. and people wonder why attorneys are so beloved. You are wrong though. You are judged by how you act when you are in public, behind closed doors, etc. Everyone is judged in this manner.
How you act in front of strangers is a reflection of your personality. IMO, to the extent possible, you should always act with respect. Who knows ... you may come to me for an interview for a job ... and if we start talking about cars ... I'll remember some f-face from San Antonio, TX ... ;) :) ... it's a smaller world than you think ...

Its amazing how sidetracked some of these threads can become.
My girlfriend is the one who purchased the car and couldn't be happier. We just got back into town after a rather long trip back (made quicker by 350hp on tap).
Those of your flaming on the price seem to either have a history lowballing sellers here in the classified forums and subsequently flaming the seller after they reject your offer or just like to post BS stories about their M3 they dont have racinging Z06s in snowstorms. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=163817&perpage=25&pagenumber=1 How mature.
The car will probably not sell at your asking price for the following reasons:
1) would be next to impossible to finance because buyer would need a very large DP
Not really, it was financed for near the asking price.
2) market attraction is to under 25 crowd which will not have financial resources to swing the transaction
Maybe you have those problems...
3) market attraction to older crowd negatively effected by mods that tend to point to possible abusive/overly aggressive driving
One of the more valid points, however after speaking with the seller I didnt think this to be the case.
4) many market substitutes for cars in that price range
Not really. The other cars up for consideration were a used 993 Carrera 2 with a bit more milage ( Potential service costs dropped this down the list rather quickly) or picking up a Subaru STi at nearly 13K more than this, or a used E46 (same performance, 15-20K more)
5) highly modified cars are a reflection of the owners personally and thus tend to create value for only that owner
Or for those looking to have a tastfully modded car and not wishing to pay the premium and down time to do so yourself.
6) no warranty coverage and the cost of maintenance is a large negative
The car had documented service records of the complete longblock replacement and passed a Pre-Purchase Inspection with flying colors. The only thing suggested was for the RTABs to be replaced sometime in the future. 30K on the longblock and a big stack of service records is a lot more comforting than having to worry about your service advisor claiming your not covered by warranty because of tracking or modding the car...
7) technology is definitely against you with faster more technologically advanced cars for less than your asking price which are new with full factory warranty
see above
8) body style will soon be dated by two model changes
Your missing the point of an M3 I think. The car wasnt purchased as a status symbol, but because it was one of the only two non supercars of the past 10 years that were actually fun to drive and featured modern comforts (the other car being a 993).
9) any financial institution will add absolutely nothing for your mods to the loan value of the car, and
10) due to the above reasons the only viable purchaser would be a cash purchaser and thus your market has now shunk to next to nothing.
See question number 1.
And the personal attacks.....
