Guys:
You won't believe this. My best bud works as a tech at the local Ferrari dealership in Virginia (nice gig, huh?). Well, apparently one of their "better" clients (notice they don't just call them customers....hehehe) is so fed up with shelling out $2k a pop for routine oil changes, etc. (he told me that 15K service intervals can run between $6 - $8k..can you f$#@ing believe that) that he's willing to trade his mint Racing Red 1999 Ferrari 355 Spyder for a brand new 2001 M3 or M5 + cash. Also, apparently the insurance is so F#$king high on this beauty (just sitting around in his garage) that he's just doesn't want to carry this mint asset anymore.
I don't have many more specifics than this. I do know that the Ferrari was directly imported from Italy (obviously I guess...) and was custom ordered because of some special leather seats (Pinnafarina coachworks I think??)...racing pedals....custom gauges..). The car has about 10K on it right now...
If there is any interest at all I will forward all information along to my pal.
Later...
P.S. I don't have any specific pics of this car but I did find these on the web.
