How do you guys get the sound into the cabin? I'm thinking of doing a sub install behind the rear armrest, facing into the cabin. My current sub is only loud when the trunk lid is open.

I just use my subs for the bass and everything else for my highs , but I agree the cabin is thick but those kickers do a great job , it helps to put a little money in the subs and amp

I removed original subs from rear parcel shelf thus porting to cabin. I run a single 12" 2000w pioneer dvc powered by 1600w mono Amp. Sounds superb.

I had 10" Kicker subs in my '01 Nissan Pathfinder, it was good enough; so, I'm sure it is plenty of bass for you!

Punch through the ski pass and I removed the insulation from the top deck for better flow

Yeah, like Edwin said, kill the stock sub rack and pound out the ski pass hole...
You can also leave the rear armrest down to filter it out, open the moonroof and crack the front windows...
Also, point the subs towards the rear bumper, and the trunk acts as a box as well

If you have a good sub you don't need a lot of watts to get a nice thump.
The sub is 1500watts but only have a 300RMS AMP, my DSP bass settings are turned all the way down and still when cranked open it's to much to handle.
I like a clean thump, don't like it when a sub "rolls" when giving bass, if you look at my sub when working you can't even see it move, but boy can you feal it :D
