Ok so unfortunatley with the recent divorce of my parents I cant take my 740il to the dealer, I have to fix it.

The problem is that it was overheating and I diagnosed that the auxillary fan was not running, even with the air conditioning on. I hoocked it up to a battery and couldnt get anything out of the fan. So the best price I could afford was a used fan from the local junkyard my buddie works at for 135. Upon bringing it home I found that when this new fan was plugged in it just smoked and tried to burn up and didnt turn. Is my problem this used fan?

Yes, if the aux fan smoked, you have a bad fan. The 50A fuse is powering your fan.

Also if it's overheating how is your fan clutch then?

thanks. I brought it back to where I got the used fan from and he agreed that its broke so i ordered a new one. And ya the fan clutch is good. Just gunna have to bite the bullet and pay for the new one.
