Is there a way to hide my iPod in my E9X?

I have an E93 M3 conv with the armrest connection for my ipod. The ipod sits under the armrest. i think thats a dumb place to keep it since the ipod is controlled by the idrive and I dont have to touch it. It is in a vulnerable place and easy to steal. I cant leave it in the car with the top down, or with the top up, thats the first place a thief will look.
Is there a way to wire it so that its somewhere else, such as the trunk perhaps?

Why not save yourself time, and money and just disconnect it when you get out of the car and just put it in the trunk? It takes all of five seconds to plug back in

Just a couple of ideas; 1) buy a car safe that fits under the driver's seat 2) if you have a BMW flashlight in the glove you can buy a 12 V connector, remove the flashlight, plug your iPod in and keep it in the glove. You may of course need to relocate the audio wire.
