cup holder stuck in

So the other day my cup holder got stuck in and won't come out. Any fixes for this? I'm about to take some tools and try and pry it back open. Unless there is a way to get behind it from under the glove box and push it out?

Here is a diagram I found on RealOEM.com on how it is held together. What I usually do in a case like this and I take a good look at the diagram and work backwords, it shows how it is held together so from there go in a process of removing.

From the looks of it you can pop that trim off that is right above your glove box and then that will give you better access to your cup holder. If it is not coming out chances are you have a spring that poped lose inside (if it has one) Cup Holders are not BMW's strong point and I am always reading people having issues with them, luckily I have not lol Good Luck
