You could ask the seller what the offset on the wheels is to make sure. How much is that in U.S dollars?

Bolt pattern needs to be 5-120 then its just a matter of whether the offset works and the hole for the hub is the same size. Seems like they should fit as long as the bolt pattern is correct. You can compensate for the offset with spacers in most cases. If the hole for the hub is too big you can get adapters for that too. Ask the seller what vehicle they came off of. You can back track from there and do a cross reference.

Yeh I asked him but him all he knows is the size the tire which doesnt help so I'm unsure it, it would be the same price in usd as the aud is the same ATM, I was hoping maybe someone has seen these b4

The bolt pattern should be stamped right on the rims. Without that part being 5-120 the rest doesn't matter.

Offset might be stamped too as flyfish said. I have honestly never seen those as oem bmw wheels.

On a OEM wheel, there is a stamped offset marking somewhere ... either around the bolts or on the back of the wheel ... never seen a OEM wheel without it.
That is crucial info for fitment in this case as none of us know what model those came off. With the right offset, sure a 235/45 will easily fit.

Not if he has 17" tyres on them. Lots of BMW rims came in multiple sizes.

Well i just got some new information out of him not sure if this makes sense to anyone, says on the rim: 8Jx17 and the offset is 47 and he also mentioned that The holes are 115mm apart center to center.

If you don't see 5x120 on the rim it will NOT fit. You have too manh questions and not enough answers. You could always look at the rims yourself. 5x120 will be stamped/cast into the rims very clearly.
He said there are 117mm apart. did he measure that? Is that on the rim somewhere? A sales brochure? This guy is either an idiot or he just doesn't know anything about the rims. He should at least be able to tell you what vehicle they came off of.
Tooooo many questions. Be careful.

Thanks for your help, you always seem to answer my questions i really appreciate it :), yeh i think im just going to stay away from them,he maybe just stupid hes obviously trying to sell them for someone else. I think he even actually measured each hole center to center which wouldn't surprise me haha. Im guessing even if they were 5x120 id have to get spacers because of the offset being 47. If only these rims were common it would make getting info so much easier.

Just have him send you pics of the numbers/letters stamped in rear of rim. ET47 probably isn't far off ... I bet you need like ET42 235's. so it may only be 5mm off. Some searching hear will tell you what the ideal offset is.
