View Full Version : Where is the Transmission Control Unit Located ?

94 530i auto trans.

Where is the TCU and how do I remove it to see the #s on it ?

Pretty sure its on the passenger side of the engine compartment.The box were the ecm is. Its the control unit directly on the oposite side of the box.from memory the ECM is on the left TCM all the way on the right.Not sure if it varies by model.
