So i have a friend who is going to sell me his Stock M3 diff (3.23 LSD) for 300 bucks :) (He's getting a 3.38)
Anyway, I have a 1996 328i with ZF trans and he has a 1997 M3 with ZF trans as well.

The only question we (i) have is will the diff bolt directly up to my 328i? I dont need to change flanges? Or drive shafts?

And i did find the DIY's, but they were for an older E36.
And the diff has brand new Redline fluid.

All you need to do is swap the output flanges

I did the same swap recently. See if this (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1609278) helps, Russell.

Yeah, i found that out while i did it. Smooth and easy job. Just time consuming. Also, the car pulls so much better with a 3.23 LSD. Wow.
