I'm sure you guys know the deal, the little tiny problems pile up until you've got a good handful of problems that gives you and your friends the impression that your car sucks

Does your car really suck? Probably not. Does it need some TLC? Yes.

160,000 miles on my 93 325is. Motor is running strong, gets me to and from work every single day on a nice long commute through traffic. Never has problems starting up, never overheats, always gets me where I need to go.

The bad?

My driver side door won't open from the outside (Coupe), my driver's side window won't move at all, and my passenger's side door handle is starting to feel dangerous too. I always keep one of my backseats down in case shit hits the fan and the only way to get in my car is the trunk. My headliner is falling and drooping from every angle and my door panels hate me.

It needs a new O2 sensor, and some rear suspension work done. My back left tire is kind of angled, like the P.O. got in an accident there. The alignment shop was able to get it 'close' to aligned but something needs to be replaced down there.

Cosmetically it needs a nice claybar, polish and wax and new right foglight. I've got a brand new DDM M3 front bumper just sittin in the garage, waiting for the day that she's worthy enough to put it on

If I can convince myself to get this shit done on my weekends I could be back to having a impressive E36...I'm just too god damn lazy though.

Anyone in the same boat :/

yep!

I have around $1000 worth of parts waiting for me to put them in for my 325iC and M3...but I am working full time (recent college grad) and even though I'm usually at a cubical, I get pretty tired. I also either go home or to my GF's every weekend, which is a long commute for each - allowing not a lot of open time for the cars :(

Here's my list and what I have:

Need to do

325iC:
pass door handle (have part)
LCA/LCAB/Tierods/endlinks (have parts)
pads/rotors (have parts)
top or window (don't have)
rear springs (don't have)

M3:
SSK and shifter parts (have parts - Calvin's SSK)
Diff (have)
D/S (don't have, but have CSB....need flex guibo too)
Check for more bent rims...noticed more tire cupping :/
other mild front end vibes :(
new bumper (don't have)
new wing and trunk (have, need paint)
new kidneys/nose panel (have)
want underpanel/splitter....will order after bumper is on
RSMs/reinforcements (don't have...want to do for p.o.m)

I totally feel you. DD one of the E36's everyday..but they both need more TLC. Finally got plates on my truck, so I have a good back up if they're both on stands, but it's tough to drive an old 8mpg truck when it's nice out :)

Thumbs up for the cubicle life.

It's not like I'm out here doin strenuous work, but spending 8 hours a day solving people's computer problems and hearing them bitch and moan puts a different type of stress on me. I'm ready to pass out when I get home, and I'm ready to vegitate on the weekends.

But I'm slowly building up the drive to get this shit done... when I'm having second thoughts about picking up a hot date is when the line needs to be drawn! No way I'm asking this chick to open my door for me from the inside lmao

T... when I'm having second thoughts about picking up a hot date is when the line needs to be drawn! No way I'm asking this chick to open my door for me from the inside lmao

This is the only way anything in the world ever gets done. When we think it will impress a hot chick!
