that's creeping into low end '95 M3 territory (albeit stick which she cannot drive) but thanks I will show it to her, never know. any pics with the soft top up? I won't hit you up with any more questions unless serious, I see you got it @ 102k miles :)

the soft top is green, but the back window of the soft top is yellowish and has a little cut.

If your wife wants it, I'll sell it.
It's a great car, I get a lot of compliments. I bought it like 5-6 months ago, I didn't know how to drive stick back then, now I do.

To do the tranny swap is expensive, so if I find a buyer I sell it.

it also has the infiniti front lip = $200
which gives the front bumper a different look

BTW, I don't have pics with the soft top up :(

cool, I see you put time and effort into the car. too bad you sold them rims already that would've been a deal to get me down to LA :) . there's a bunch of these local but none with the hard top that I've found yet. no biggie, I will go see a couple cars tomorrow and hopefully score and save some bucks at the same time. she's no autocrosser or anything so the M option isn't a must. probably end up putting wheels and a stereo and that's it.

thanks for the chat - TTYL man / buenas noches

ps. just for grins PM me the VIN and I'll get you a copy of the current carfax :p

OK, I'll send you the VIN #
plus the rims were replicas, they were not OEM, they sell around $400

BTW, it's gonna be hard to find a hard top convertible, when I was looking for mine, this is the only one I saw with the hard top.

Good Luck, and if you find another vert which you think is a good deal, get it ;)
Im not in a hurry to sell the car :D

Does you wife absolutely, positively need an automatic?

I'm thinking about selling my Silver/Grey '98 M3 Convertible. We have an 11 month old baby, and it's just not convenient getting her in and out of the backseat, plus the wife won't let me have the top down on the freeway with the baby in the back seat :-), so I'm probably downgrading to something with 4-doors.

The car has about 65,000 miles on it. Upgraded by Jim Powell (http://www.apexcone.com) with ZKW's, HID's, super fogs and Demon Eyes. It's been "Sharked" and has the matching Jim Conforti intake (about 260HP). (http://www.sharked.com/intakes.html) Has 18" M5 replica wheels and a JT Designs front Strut Tower Brace (http://store.yahoo.com/jtdesigns/higperfronst.html)

Inspection II was done by Bavarian Mastercare about 7,000 miles ago, and I've always used Mobil 1 when changing the oil. Also, the transmission was replaced by BMW about 10,000 miles ago, because of the common "Stick rests at 5th gear problem" (http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48002&perpage=25&pagenumber=1).

The car is in good shape, a few small dings which can be taken out for $75 or so per panel, and a few curb rashes on a few of the wheels, which I was planning on getting repaired.
