iPod Cable

Hi. Just bought an '06 R53 MCS with the HK stereo system. It also has an iPod cable hooked by a the previous owner (didn't talk to them), and running out of the glove box. It's the white cable/plug.

My question, before I start buying stereo and Bluetooth upgrades, is: what is likely plugged into the back of the HU to make the iPod connector work? Would it be directly plugged in or would there be a DICE box back there somewhere? Best guesses, anyone?

If the MINI is anything like the BMW (which it may be) Ipod plug in without DICE would have been made available in 2006. So it could be plugged into the head unit.

If you have to label your playlist MINI then it is hardwired into the wiring harness.
It it is just a simple aux jack then it is a connector into the back of the radio.
