Yes, the rumors are true. I'm selling the 540 after work today and joining the e36 M3 ranks. It's been a great car and if I could afford to keep both I would. Thanks to everyone that's seen me through the repairs and installs. I'll still be crusing on this forum and offering help and insight, just not as much.

Picking up the new car in Miami on Saturday! Should be a fun drive back to Atlanta! :) Pic below.

ohhh I see. It's the older 5. I was about to question your sanity if you were to switch from a 540i E39 to the E36 M3. I know the E39 540I 6 speed will kill the E36 M3 at speeds exceeding 80mph.

Yes. He was very impressed by my maintenance and the condition of the car and thought since the car was running great and gas continues to improve, he wasn't taking a huge chance.
