Hey whats up guy's :buttrock

well like the title says my cars been hesitating more and more lately. i changed the fuel filter about 6-7 months ago. i also took out the fuel pump to make shore there was no sugar in the tank :shifty. nope nothing was in there.

I did do the fuel pump test were we test the left and the right side on the fuel sending unit/pump. i found one side to be within parameters and the other side to be completely off. based off what the book says both left and right side should be at 10 ohm's empty +-2 & 250 ohm's +-5 when full.

the one side that is completely off is the side that leads to the fuel pump. when i put the car in the on position to prime the system i hear the pump come on but that dose not mean that its pumping the sufficient amount of fuel that i need. with that being said has anyone had a bad fuel pump. if so what were the symptoms did the car hesitate or studer?

thanks ahead :buttrock

Check the basics? plugs? Is it time for vanos seals?

Check out Besian systems and see if their description sounds familiar.

As far as the sending units? They only go to the fuel guage as far as I know. That wouldn't have anything to do with hesitation.

I'm throwing out a guess here. Oil fouling your coil boots.

you know what it is time for me to change my oil. i rebuilt the vanos system about 9-10 months ago. plugs just changed them about 6 months ago, wasn't to pleased with them after little drift sessions or after driving her hard (platinum 4). I'm going to close up the fuel system for now. i have the oil and filter already to do the oil change. hopefully that dose the trick. thanks guy's. in reference to the fuel pump/sending unit i figured maby the pump could be on its way out

pulled out the plugs today they all seemed to look the same. i put the fuel pump back in and took her for a drive and she was back to normal. could have been some bad gas or something.

i would still like to know if anyone has done the ohm test on the fuel pump like i did and came up with the same results (one side failed the test the side that has the pump on it). it was sopposed to show 10 ohms +-2 or 250 ohms +-5 and was only showing .6 ohms ?

People have reported some probles with Platinum 4's. Not everyone but enough. I wont use them. too expensive and I do just fine with my $2 Autolites. They made a world of difference when I swapped out my Bosch OEM rated plugs.
