I am trying to order some replacement belts, car is a 9/88 production. It appears that the correct one for the alt/WP is 13 X 1055, but for the AC, I have no idea. Pelican lists two... 13 X 855 and 13 X 840. How can I know which length I have? Does this change by brand of compressor on the car?
My system only shows the 13x855 belt for your car. Have you looked at your current belt for any markings?

Lawl, i dont know what size you need. like he said, check for marking or mesure it with a rope or something. that is if you didint lose it.

I know when I did my e32 it called for one size but needed the other. And even with the larger (855) it was a bitch to get on the pulley. I had to walk it on by turning the crank. If you have a belt on there, look for markings, or just remove it and compare. If not, buy both and you'll be out $6.00 if ordered online.
What does realoem say it should be?

Mine is a '90 I bought both, it took the larger one too, and I agree it was a helluva experience installing it, I too had to turn the motor to get it to go on...
