Good luck getting one

Just found out from one dealer that my order "could not be filled." With something like two allocations per dealer in the area (NoVA/D.C.), I think the chances of getting a 1M are crap. I'm going to ping a few more dealers, but I don't expect my luck to change.

I think I ranted about this somewhere else, but gimme a break. BMW advertises an M that should be more "attainable" but then makes less than 3k of 'em? Lame.

I can only hope that BMW is collecting info on serious orders and will adjust production accordingly. You'd think that, in this "just in time production/supply chain" day and age, one could track that sort of thing and fulfill orders on an almost as-needed basis. I guess I'll have to see. In the meantime, I'm a bit dissapointed in the reality behind the hype.

One other big reason it will be hard to get one in the US is because BMW can sell them for tons more in other countrys. It really does suck....

There is nothing wrong with that statement... I have a hidden assembled M1 that is arriving first week of May 2011 to the Dealership.
