This include M3?

May be getting another car this weekend and will look into this.

What is the original price and who carries these? Are they geared toward track or stance?

It is my understanding of the e36 that the suspension components, while all different parts, are interchangeable.

As for the Track vs Style I cant really give you a call on that, I would say more of a stance/ride height but there maybe people in your community that actually run this setup already on the track that can speak to real world experience in track use.

I have received a coupla question about new end links and I am in contact with the distributor to get these questions answered but I am by no means a expert and if someone knowledgeable in e36 suspension setups would chime in I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Mike

MightyWhitey
04-06-2011, 09:26 PM
Yes sir the kit for the z3 and 318ti is going to be $20 more but is available as well.

Here is a link to the JOM.de website so you can see that there is a different kit and the others that are available.

In for info on track use.

I would be skeptical to buy these, you usually get what you pay for but I am open minded and would like some more info. What are the spring rates for starters?

Does DDM make these?

MightyWhitey
04-07-2011, 07:12 AM
I dont know who ddm is, sorry. These are comming from veedubmachine a company in the UK that I set up the last group with. It was so successful he suggested I do one for other BMW models. Let ne know if there is any other questions you might have.

Your links in the first post don't work. I'll take a set for my '94 318is though if you can prove this is the real deal. No offense but 19 posts and no feedback is iffy for me.

Thanks for the heads up R3v had some server issues. Ill fix the link. Some one on here already ordered and recieved a set. Im sure he can post pictures when he feels ready. They were ordered for a m3 but didnt fit unfortunately.

I ordered a set for my m3, and they didn't fit. I can't comment on the install, but the shipping was insanely fast. I wish they would have worked.

Well all the E30 & veedub guys are saying they are good for a dd which is exactly what this car is going to be. No track time. No need for insanely low drop.

Mine came in today. Not bad looking. Especially for the price. I'll let you know how they are when I get them installed one of these days. Hopefully by Sunday. Cell phone pics FTL :(

And no, they were not packaged like that. I opened them inside and threw them back in the box to take to the garage. They were packaged pretty decent.

In for the review. You have to get spring rates man. You can't be pushing a product with such sparse information. Right now you're competing with Raceland and they have published spring rates.

I should have them in saturday. Took the front struts off last night. Only took like 30 mins from jacking up to all apart. Easier than I thought it would be. I probably won't have time to get the top plates swapped over til saturday though.

As far as spring rates, these have dual springs on the front. A main and a helper. I'd be interested on the rates too though. I'm expecting these to be a good daily adjustable set up though, not a race or drift set up. That's what the E30 and vw guys are saying.

Got them on today. They seem to ride pretty decent so far. Only went around the block on them though. They get LOOOOOOOW. I didn't expect that. At least in the front they do. I tool some crappy pics but my car looks like crap because I'm doing body work and its filthy.

I can go down about another inch and a half or so too. WAY too low. The 19's didn't stand a chance all the way down.

They work well in the back. I can remove the adjuster if I wanted to get another inch or so.

Fenders will be rolled and new paint applied. Eventually. Over the summer sometime.

The 19 was just a test wheel. Not for final assembly :P

the raceland website has the spring rates:
http://www.racelandus.com/p-59-coilover-kit-for-bmw-e36.aspx

Features:
• Individual threaded shock bodies
• Optimized shock valving
• Epoxy powder coated coil springs
• Blue silver zinc plated shock body
• Anodized spring seats
• Spring Rate: Front 350 lbs/inch
• Spring Rate: Rear 300 lbs/inch
• Integrated front helper springs
• Two year warranty

but it doesn't say anything about convertibles either....I wonder if they are about the same.

Please be cautious w/ this seller... he purchased a pair of e32 fog lights that I had mistaken for e34 fog lights.. his payment was immediate while my shipment took 10 days.. he received the fogs and attempted to install but it didn't work. He asked for a refund once the fogs were back in my possession. The fogs are not in my possession and to make matters worse he took out a claim w/ paypal (which he won) for incorrect item. So where are my fogs and if thats how you do business(purchase an item, but don't return it and have paypal reimburse yur payment) then to all members STEER CLEAR!!!!!!!!!!!
