Hello, The ncs expert i know of, but i just wanted it to work in SSS
I'Ve find a way to change the FA in ncsexpert to remove the RAD module in my original config so SSS no longer looks for the RAD module
Thanks

You can't. US/Canadian VOs specify the radio as one of the modules that's always present. Even if you completely remove the VO entries that are remotely related to the radio, SSS will always look for it. Your only option would be to change the VO to that of a european car, but then you'll get errors with your light module.

So i should just put back the radio in for whenever i need to change settings ?

Most of my stuff i do in ncs expert, but i need to retrofit an alarm kit, motion sensor, tilt sensor, and i've searched and i don't see a way to do that in ncx expert, if there is a way, i would be glad to learn and give it a try, so far, i've managed my windows up, bixenon with high, fogs with hi, now i just need to activate this alarm kit, and i'll be happy camper

Add $302 to your VO, do FA_WRITE on your AKMB and ALSZ, then load up the CKM settings. The alarm stuff will be there. Between WinKFP and NCS Expert, you can do everything Progman can (and more)

I tried that, I also have pa soft, and enabled the lights and audible signals, alrams engages with doors, and remote, but there's something missing, when i trigger the hood pin alarm does not go off, and the panic button (rear latch on remote) does not engage alarm, as much as i trust ncs expert, i think that the retrofit process in sss does more than just change the VO, i'm probably wrong i know, but, i'm just saying

I've done this retrofit at least a dozen times with NCS Expert; SSS doesn't do anything differently.
You still need to either go into the car/key memory settings and activate the alarm (or just recode the GM5 w/ expert mode so it resets everything to the defaults). Alarm will enable.

Well, i f**ed something up good, I keep on getting cas coding errors and now my whole dash is a christmas tree, I was able to save myself with a friends working copy of sss v32 image e90 compatible, i had to reflash the whole thing, but i can't reflash the BO, i need a most adapter or something ?, i was able to retofit the alarm anyways so that works, but now i am intrigued by this most adapter

MOST is the fibre optic system used in the car. Normally, progman requires you to program multimedia devices via the fibre optic port in your car. Progman can be fooled, with the proper changes to override this requirement and use a USB cable. Otherwise, you need a OP(P)S head (clones cost about $500 US, real ones can be found sometimes on eBay for $1500-2000) or an ICOM A+B (which cost considerably more and are somewhat tightly controlled by BMW for distribution).

Use SSS_Changes_xDrive_v2.iso if Progman asks for a MOST adapter.

Will this interfere with the sss image posted in anotehr thread here that uses the change interface command ?
What i mean, should i just load the iso and don't touch anything else and just start sss ?
thanks

If you are using the VMWare image of SSS I built, you shouldn't need to run the .iso. Just run the "Choose Interface" program and select OPS/OPPS from the list, it should take care of everything for you. Then start up SSS and connect to the car.

Yes I am using your image, before starting SSS, i run choose interface and select 2 for my E90
Eveyrhting worked fine when i was updating the e90, it went through all the updates except BO, upon arriving at BO SSS asked me to connect the "MOST interface", since i am using the usb dongle, i selected continue and it failed on that one, SSS then continued on to encode the remaining modules, but since i have one module that's older than the daten files on sss, it won't let me go to the CKM menu, I must update the BO module first
Any help ?
