540i Questions

I've test driven several 540i/6spd's over the last couple of weeks.
To me, it seems like the 99/00 models pull harder and have a sportier suspension than the 01 models that I've driven.

Does this make any sense? All 6spd models have the sport package, right?

All depends on how the engine was broken in. My 98 pulls harder than most 99/00/01/02/03. These engines are like wine. They get better with age.

In the US I believe the 6spds are considered sport package, though I think there are a few options on top of that....

allegedly the '03 has the best suspension setup (with 18" M Parallels!), but it generally conceded that the early engines make the most power.... however, I think that any of them are good candidates for a set of gears, a software update, and headers...
