headlight questions

So I just purchased a 540IT. Now I want to do some cosmetics to it. I had my prior E39 with dj auto headlights. They do look good but I was looking at some stuff on line and saw this a preface lift car looking good. I might do this and put angel eyes on them. Look at the pics and give me some feedback.

I have those headlights (xenon) with the smoked covers. I just purchased facelifted lights and did a bixenon retrofit. All the smoked headlights would need is a good refinishing, new cheap adjusters, and resealing and they would be good to go. Complete with auto levelers if you are interested.....

The car shows post-facelift installed, but the picture shows pre-facelift.

Pre-facelift needs a very specific style car to work well on, post-facelift work with everything.

I think my first pic the silver M5 looks good with prefacelift but I also like the look of postfacelift since I have a 99 540it in birriantz blau with LM reps and Racing Dynamics front bumper. I don't know if I can pull off prefacelift with thin line angel eyes.
