So I dropped the oil pan today to check for plastic bits since my car makes excessive noise. Didn't expect to seen what I seen. There is a white substance in the bottom of the dang oil pan.. What in the world would cause this? I replaced the CCV about 7000 miles ago so I am not sure if that has to do with anything.

Maybe your leaking coolant. Does the car need a head gasket? Does it constantly overheat?

I do not think I am leaking coolant. If I am it is very little. It has never went above 105 degrees Celcius on the instrument cluster. I am hoping it is not a head gasket... I have 192k miles so there is a chance...

Do you do a lot of short distance driving...could be condensate build up in the oil.

Pics would help. There are a lot of different oils and a lot of different additives.

I would have suggested a Blackstone test. I do it every oil change.
