View Full Version : remove fuel filler cover 93 525i touring

I need to remove fuel cap cover on my 525i touring wagon and need advice on correct way to do it as i am worried about breaking plastic hinge. any help would be appreciated.

Give it a week or two and it should remove itself! Lol Just saying mine has broken twice in the last year ( with the wifes help)

Plastic hinge is like 10 bucks if it breaks.. My local dealer had it in stock even.

Quite easy operation too. Just look at it and you will figure it out quite fast.. It's a bayounette type deal.. Two tabs and it's of..

Thanks hoolie, Im off to the local bmw dealer to get a new one as it was that brittle when i pulled it apart it broke into three pieces.
