CD player: disc error

Ok so this morning I started getting a disc error message. I've took it out and made sure everything was in right. Everythings connected. Any ideas on what I should try next?

When it happened to me it was the motor in the player that went bad. I sent it to a guy that replaced the motor and no problems since. I don't need it anymore if you want to buy it. Which type do you have?

I had the same problem, one of the huge plastic gears in the radio was stuck, took it apart and 'jostled' it, four months ago no problems since.

Well I got the pioneer 6 disc changer in a 1992 525i I'm not sure if it's stock or not. Unfortunately I have no money to spare right now so I guess I'll take it apart and figure it out
