So.... on a total whim, I picked these up last night. They are for an E39, and they are staggered. One might have a slight kink in it even tough it was repaired at a pro shop. I might take it down to my guys in LA (Thanks LouieD). I am going to run them on the 540/6 while I am getting the E39 M5 wheels fixed. I figured for a couple of hundred, I can't go too wrong... :dunno

Do I hear the GF screaming?

Nice pick up, Mike. You must have a warehouse or a large garage to fit all the BMW parts you buy, haha.

Ahem, a kibosh on spending..
J/K Michael. Those look sweet. I'll be in touch soon, I've been so busy at work I feel like the youth is being sucked out of my body.

Very nice. I thought you had sworn off (or been made to swear off) modding for a while? :dunno

Just make sure your E34 is dropped when you install those, otherwise it'll look like...

Don't you all know that it's easier to get forgiveness than permission :D

Amen. I wouldn't get anything done, at home or at work, if I was always asking permission.

I've got my eye on a set of Beyern 17" wheels for $250 if the guy will just call me back. Not the lightest I hear, but hey. Nice price.

Why would she scream? She has no idea about this... :evil2 :devillook I have a secret storage that all this stuff goes into, its like having a secret bank account in a marriage... which reminds me, time to call the banker.

Hey Now, it was only a couple of hundred for the set. No worries Dan, reach out to me whenever you can man.

I will let you know. I might take them down to Ivan to check them out for me. I do need tires too.

Matt - This falls under the category of "necessity", just work with me here... LOL!:evil2 And it was relatively cheap, so I figured why not. Thankfully, the car is already sitting low thanks to BMW - M-Springs, etc. Wheels should look fine whenever I get around to putting them on. Time to get them into storage :alright

I am about to be in that boat. Might be moving in with the girl soon... AIYEE! I still need to buy a panel van and a restoration project - not sure where I will be hiding that yet. :rolleyes :dunno

Hey Luis, What ever happened with those Type A's?

They are in storage waiting for "resto" funds to become available. :( My other e34 died and I need to replace it before I can refinish a set of wheels I really don't need. My kid already called dibs on them. He's got great taste :D

They may end up on the Touring, then I'll have to decide what to do with the ACS T3 reps. Michael? wanna trade?

Sweet. Yea, my daughter has pretty good taste too. She wants my throwing stars... that's a big negative. She was very upset when I sold my MKs. I'm debating whether I should give her my extra set of 32's, or have her roll the stocks and have her earn a set.

They were a great deal and will come in handy... had to get them.

awww... they grow up so fast... seems just like yesterday I was teaching him the the values of RWD vs wrong-wheel drive and how "Pep Boys" and "performance" should never be used in the same sentence.

It might be time to move the ACS reps... maybe we can work something out for those Style 32's when you no longer need them. Just a thought.

AghhR! Don't sell the ACS's Luis, you'll regret it. At least I have the calendar shot to drool over in the meantime.

I probably will regret it, but I rarely keep a car this long, so I need to update to keep my disease in check... so I'm still thinking 5.0 and some fresh shoes. I love style 32's. Add to that "staggered" in it just gets me all "hot and heavy"
Just hate to clean between all those spokes. :(

WOW! You have a daughter old enough to drive ?!?! You have some incredible genes there my man. Anyway.... there might be a pre-painted set ot E39 Style 32's up for grabs soon... LOL!!! :evil2 Just teasing LouieD.

Ian - Maybe the Mille Miglias? They will look unique... :evil2 :alright

Of course I had to... I have a spare set of of Hub Rings just wasting away. I had to put them to good use. I just hope these bleeding wheels are not completely warped or out of "round".

Pep Boys and Performance... LOL!!!! Good one! We can certainly talk about the Style 32's. I have never been crazy about them, even though I like them.

Yep! I am the same way, I was saying to myself that I would walk away... unless they were staggered. As soon as I saw they were staggered, I started making room in the trunk.

Not to worry LouieD, just soap 'em, brush 'em and hose them down at a self car wash and you are done.

Luis, I hear you on the addiction. In the last four years 2 cars have come and gone, 2 new ones have come, and one more is about to go. I think I'm just regretting selling our e34 before I was really "done" with it. I never got to drop it, or restore the wheels.

Oh well, I should get the damn Alfa running better and go terrorize the locals. As much as I love the e34 the powah of the M62 in the 540it just makes me giggle like a schoolgirl.

So how many extra wheels do you have these days Mike? Wheels, not sets. Not on the car either. I'm actually down to 5, the style 19's that aren't on the touring at the moment.

And a restoration project? Isn't that what the 540i/6 is? You should go take a painting class at a local community college and get her painted!

I like to say it's not an addiction, it's a guy thing :evil2. You should finish your Touring before you sell it if you can. It will help fetch the money you want and give you much satisfaction.

I wonder how our 540 Tourings would compare side by side. That would be as far as things like power to weight ratios, acceleration, etc. We should do it one of these days.

I might be getting a garage and a yard soon, so I might just be able to tackle a lot more DIY work soon. I don't know about painting the car though. Maybe a roller and some paint?:evil2

I now have 12 wheels in the garage and 7 in storage. Some are due to be sold soon though, so that number will change significantly - maybe by this weekend as a matter of fact.

My new obsessions are a 1985 GMC Panel truck that I want to convert for my business, camping and parts collection.... think UPS type truck. And then a 1959 Chevy 1 Ton Panel Van with a 3-Speed 357 in it... think 1957 - 59 Chevy Covette engine. I know... BLASPHEMY! Not BMW stuff... :rolleyes

Nothing wrong with straying from the BMW's, all one marque gets dull quick.
