ac compressor belt

so i know this has been discussed before but i just wanna get some fresh opinions. im changing my belts this week and i dont use nor want a/c and i need all the amps i can get for the new audio. plus it needs a recharge which im not going to do anyway. i was planning on deleting it to make room for future plans anyhow but but just for the time being if i unplugged the compressor and left the pulley empty(took belt off) would this create any other problems than maybe a code? i dont care if my cluster says something about it but im just making sure it has no other effects. pretty sure it shouldnt but ive been surprised before.
