TDC Sensor

So, while fixing something else, I snapped the wire that goes to the sensor that is wrapped around a spark plug wire. I blew the first rule of fixing something: don't break anything else. From browsing online it looks like this is the TDC sensor. Can these be purchased by themselves; it seems that they usually just come with a spark plug wire set. Looking at this thread (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1252162), I might not even need it. It is broken right where the wire goes into the sensor which would be pretty difficult to solder. Any suggestions?

Since the vehicle will run without it, I'd go to the yards and pick up the plug wire with the sensor and be done with it. At least the issue won't sideline the car.
