ok so i have a slight pull to the left when im braking and i was wondering if resurfacing the rotors would fix this?

and a little while after i installed my sub my cd changer in the trunk stopped working. its all connected at the back of the player but when i press band on my stereo it just doesnt recognized it. its also still getting power because i can still eject it

Well you need to identify the cause of your pulling in order to fix it. On my car, my pull to the left under braking was caused by worn suspension components allowing the toe to change under braking. I did not know this until after I replaced the front suspension (because it was obviously worn in other ways, not because of the pull) and the pull went away. Previously I thought it might be a master cylinder issue, since the master is cross plumbed left-right front to rear (through the abs pump) and could cause a pulling issue.

In any case, identify the cause as best you can. If you your rotors need resurfacing anyway (or better yet replacement) go ahead and do that.

Worn thrust arms maybe.

If your lower control arms are worn at the bushing, it can cause the wheel to toe out when you brake. Lift the corner up, crawl under and try to move the wheel side to side. Watch how much linkage moves and that will help isolate the cause.

Also check the outer tie rod ends for play.

Ok I jacked up each corner individually and tried to wiggle the wheels in a left and right motion. No play at all.

I did find a little play at the u joint right above the steering box so Im guessing that's where my lil bumps are coming from when I turn and on rough roads.

My struts are completely blown though (and I just ordered some) so could this pull be from that? I'll resurface the rotors anyways just because they're pretty bad and I have the machine to do it in autoshop

Rotors are cheap, just buy new ones.

Don't refinish them if they will be below minimum thickness when you're done.

Sure I could just buy new ones but there's other stuff id rather get before buying new rotors an if I can get another couple thousand miles out of em I'll just replace them then.

Its your safety.....
Why cheap out on such an important part?
Why do the job twice?
Other stuff will still be available later.

Safety? It's not like they're warped or about to fall off. They're just getting grooved and with new pads and a resurface they'd be fine again. It's hardly a difficult job and if I jaw the machine why not? There's a list of little things I could replace first
