wow, good job! I flushed my coolant yesterday too. I have come to realize it is very hard to do without spilling coolant all over yourself. lol.
Regarding the subs. You may find a more desirable effect by knocking out your ski pass and pointing them towards it.

Haha unfortunately I know that all too well also. And Yea I've seen that and I'm curious, do u know from experience? It sounds and feels great now but I think that may eliminate possibilities of rattle which would be desirable.

I have two 10's in my trunk with the ski hole popped out and I really like it. It adds a fair amount of bass compared to before. It seems to sound basically the same no matter which way I have them facing too.

How'd you pop it out? I fear using permanent tools on my car haha

chisel or screwdriver. It is just spot welded in place.

Yeah I have done it both ways. Sounds much better with the ski pass open. Two 12s would rattle the crap out of the trunk probably even with proper sound deadening .
Right now I have two 10inch idqs pointed at it. It sounds great. Although I am replacing them with a single idmax and luke is building me a special box for it so it will be completely flush with the ski pass.
Knocking it out is simple like ae said. Do a search too. There is stuff on it.

How much of a PITA was the intake mani gaskets? Also, yer not bothering with the oil leak at the head gasket? I'm just askin' and trying to learn.

I knocked my passthrough out with my hands, every time I've done it. It's ridiculously frail, and only needs one or two hits per joint. If your sub is that tall, you're probably best off pointing it towards towards the rear of the trunk, as you'll be shrouding most of the opening with the configuration of the box. You'll have more air volume in the trunk with it pointing towards the rear, than you would with two 12" cones mounted against the rear firewall trying to fire through a small opening. It's probably a tossup, as you'd probably hear more bass through an open passthrough, but you'd probably get cleaner bass firing into the trunk.
