What does this mean? My brake lights are on and working, is this something else? It keeps showing up

This is a very common fault and means that resistance measured in your brake light circuit is not within the defined range. Usual causes are:-

1. Faulty brake light switch (usually still works, but has high resistance so the only way to eliminate it is by replacement).
2. Bad earth connection at the brake light assemblies or loose/corroded bulb holders.
3. Bulbs are not of the correct type/wattage; or
4. LED tail light assemblies have been installed without recoding of the car or ballast resistors to compensate for their low current draw.

Thanks so much!
