Hey guys I'm new to bimmerforums and was wondering if anyone could help me out. I am currently trying to sell my '94 325i for $4000. Despite some cosmetic problems the car is very solid. The only major problem that I have run into recently is that both my gas and temperature gauges do not read correctly. I have been told that my fuel pump needs to be replaced in order to fix the gas gauge but now I'm beginning to think that the problem may in fact be electrical as the board has been replaced. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be because I really don't want to have to spend the money on replacing the fuel pump and whatever needs to be done for the fuel gauge and it not be the right fix. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

The temperature issue is probably a bad temp sensor it's a cheap and easy fix, the fuel issue I have no clue....

Fuel issue is 1 of the 2 things: Fuel level sensor located under the rear seats behind the driver side or the fuel pump under the rear seats behind the passenger side. I'd start with the fuel level sensor on the passenger side as it is cheaper. I have the same issue atm, my fuel gauge reads I have no gas ....

as for temp. What do you mean its reading incorrect, is it always hot or cold w/o any overheating issues?
