To begin, I bought my car on June 2009 in San Antonio, Texas. Flew out with a friend and drove the car back to Los Angeles. In the 7 months of ownership, I've done almost all the maintenance these babies require (thanks to Gary from Minicorsa in North Hollywood). Anyway, my car is currently on TC Kline S/A coils (450f/500r) with Vorshlag plates. The CCW Classic wheels are 18x9.5 all-around with Conti ExtremeContact DW 255/35 front and 265/35 rear. I am currently rubbing in the rear so I'm going to raise it a little more and maybe pull/flare the fender. As of now, I just have the inner rear fender cut. Enough talking...

Looking at these wheels never gets old. Maybe that's why they call them classics...

With a 4x 9.5" setup why not run a squared 255 or 265?
Regardless nice car... do want.

Thanks! Even before buying the car, I knew I wanted the wheels.

I probably would have gone 255 squared, but my friend sold me a his 265 tires so I made it work. Also, I wanted to add a little more beef back to fight the oversteer (although I've been told that can be adjusted without needing larger rear tires).

Thanks! I agree, they do look good on any car! Also, getting a shoot done by my very good friend Scott Chu (scottchu.com) sometime soon. I'll definitely post pictures!

Looks sick man!

Thanks for the props :D

Thanks for helping me fall in love with the car over and over every time I pick it up again! ;)

Thanks! :redspot

By the way, here's a shoot of the Euro oil cooler Gary put in for me. Can't believe the US E36 M's are the only M without a stock oil cooler!

Beautiful wheels and chunky tires, a combination that this forum is lacking in. I love the look, very clean man!

I've got a pair of 17x9.5" Classics for my project car, all I need is another pair to complete the 17" version of your setup. It's also funny that I flew out and bought my sedan in Texas and drove it back as well.

Thanks, I love the fat tires too! The 255's have a slight stretch on the 9.5's which is not too bad. Texas seems to have cheap cars. I couldn't find ANY good deals in Cali for an E36 M3.

I spoke with John at CCW and he let me know he has a 17x9.5 32mm (set of 4) he's trying to get rid of. Call in and see if he's willing to sell you a pair. :alright

Those wheels on any ///M look sick!! How much did it cost the oilcooler? I've been thinking about that lately due to the high temps we see here in Puerto Rico. A good summer day would be like 94deg but on others day I goes up to 105deg

Wheels are 32mm all-around and came off my friend's E46 M3. Front is not rolled at all. They rub a little on full-lock turns only. I may think about adding a 12mm spacer in the front and cutting/rolling the inner fender if I want to completely get rid of the inside rubbing. The rears, I had Tony Saggu in Granada Hills cut the inner fender and hammered it out a bit to give me about 12-15mm of space. If you take a look under the fender, you'll notice a glue between the inner and outer fender; he cut the inner fender and glue off. I'm thinking about flaring the fenders, but we'll see...

My friend, Gary, helped me source the parts and I believe it cost around ~$600 in parts. I highly recommend it - preventative maintenance is a priority!

$2300 with 1000 miles of use. I know they cost $2200 + $60 for the finish new, but the shipping is $200+ and the wait is about a month.

Now this is how you do an E36. I really like it.

Because of this and a couple other cars, I'm eyeing a setup of 18x9.5 all around. mmmmmm

The CCW's are the Race version so the Grade 8 bolts bolt from the outside as opposed to the ARP bolts which are from the inside. If the outside bolts bug you, you can try and find shorter ARP bolts that can be retrofit. I believe CCW used to do these a while back, but no longer.

The race version they've been doing the past couple years still has the face on the outside of the lip.

Whoops, I misread your previous post. These wheels were built only a few months ago so I'm not sure why I have the face on the inside of the lip, but I like it! :)

265's w/ those wheels will require some MAJOR work and/or high ride, though. Good luck.

Thanks everyone! I did want CCW LM20's on the car, but the set I ordered with CCW wouldn't fit my front BBK. :(

Awesome looking car. Supersprint exhaust? and which wing is that?

Yup, it's a Supersprint DTM Sport exhaust. The car originally came with the AA track pipe and UUC System U. It was way too loud for me so I switched to an OBDII mid-pipe and the quietest exhaust I could find. Wing is a Mashaw without the riser. :)

I already cut the inner fender and I am still rubbing on the sidewalls, so I am going to raise the car a little more and do more fender pulling and possible flaring! :buttrock

Just curious, have you done any reinforcements on the car, or were they already done when Joe owned it?

I've done countless things to the car. New clutch, pilot bearing, guibo, replaced the loose Rogue SSK with a Z3, re-installed the SSK because his previous mechanic did not do it right, new shifter bushings (refresh), properly bled the clutch slave cylinder (which was done horribly before), water pump, thermostat, pulley belts, O2 sensor, sway-bar endlinks, new front rotors for the BBK, E30 seat-belt receptacle because the seat wouldn't slide with the E36 receptacle, micro air filter, etc. I've been busy with the car, but it's ALL worth it!!! :alright
