Help Please! Paint chip..

Alright, the story is, I was moving the snow blower out of the garage and accidently touched it with the fender of my car.. So now there is about a 1 inch length and quarter inch width paint chip up to the primer on my car.. :(
This was a total heart breaker to me, and I was wondering if anyone could help me with some tips and methods in fixing this chip??

If not, I'll be sanding the area, touching it up with coats of paint, then applying clear coat on it, and leveling the chipped area with the whole are on the fender by buffing it..

Please help me, and tell me if this method will work.. Thank you.!!!

hard to tell from the pic. I would call a place like dent wizard (they do really nice work - at least the ones for me)

I prefer to take it to my favorite bodyshop and he loves me for it!
