I've always wanted to get window visors/ rain protectors for my e36(coupe), but I can't find any on the internet. Its not possible to put on since there is no body on the door when you open it. its just a window. Then I saw pictures of this s14, which doesn't have anything around the window when you open the door: its just the window.

If anyone know where they make these or has any ideas if I can get some custom ones done, let me know. Thank you. Have a nice day.
I'm going to warn you that this thread may not end well. That said I've never seen it on an e36 of any variety. Probably for good reason. It'll probably look trashy. Maybe photoshop it first?

And they are awful for aerodynamics, serious drag from tests I've seen, besides looking like a Camray dweeb.

Really, you shouldn't even do it with jdm cars. People do, but these are the people that most people on this board don't like.
Now- on TRUCKS.... I have no problem with them. I'd even go so far as to say that I like them.

The second pic you posted should have told you if they were a good idea...Speedhunters.com, Chinese words, words ending with a "z", and of course how can you forget a Apple logo...sogood brah
They are meant for beat up dodge rams and a driver who wears camo and smokes cigs.

I used to date gal who had those things on her cars. I overlooked the lack of taste for her other redeaming qualities. :wiggle
She was born and raised in Osaka.

I've got them on my Pickup. '94 Toyota 4x4. I love them- it's my winter vehicle, and I get in/out a lot so my windows fog easily. Crack the windows with these babies, no fog. :)
That being said, in general I do not like them, especially on sporty cars.

A ghastly mod for any vehicle.
Try JC Whitney's.

I travel to Taiwan a couple times a year for work. Nearly every vehicle on the roads there has those things stuck to the doors. They seem to be insanely popular for some reason. Most of the ones I see over there have wording printed on them to denote the car model. They say "FOR CAMRY", "FOR MARCH" or whatever at the top corner so you know you're buying the right set for your vehicle. As a car guy these visors are something that really pop out at me every time I see them. In my opinion they're a cheap & easy way to ruin the aesthetics of any vehicle. ;)

Hey arthothezilvian,
I installed Weather-tech shield products on front door windows of my Ford E450 that work great. According to their website, an E36 sedan product exists. http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvproduct.aspx?ItemGroupId=4&VehId=1371&Year=1997&.VehOptChoiceIds=737 (http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvproduct.aspx?ItemGroupId=4&VehId=1371&Year=1997&VehOptChoiceIds=737).
Good luck

I think the weathertech ones are great if your vehicle sits out in a parking lot in 100 degree heat for hours on end. They allow the windows to stay opened 1/4" for ventilation without having to worry about rain getting in during the afternoon thunderstorms.
The cheap junk ones....not so much.
