This is the car now:

I don't like the throwing stars and am looking at other options. I've found the style 42 for a great price in 8x17 and am thinking of using those. Here's an E39 approximation of what it would look like:

Deeper dish.... Sets it off at any angle, but yes, love that style.

Favorite BMW wheel (M-Pars and M-Tech II a close second and third).

Do it. With both malice and premeditation.

For some reason I have never liked the style 42's and I think the M-techs are PERFECT on E34's.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's an M-tech wheel? Google only shows steering wheels.

It's not that the 42's are my favorite wheel in the universe, but the price attracted me. Selling the throwing stars should more than pay for them.

I love the style 42's. The throwing stars / M-Tech wheels will be lighter and stronger, but it's your car, go for it if you want. If you were closer I'd trade my style 19's and cash. If you wanted them.

I love mine! But would love a bigger lip on the rear at least. Great looking wheels though.

Sending pm right after this.

I'd have to say no..

The M tech wheels on the car are part of what make it so nice, forged, light super tough. You can pull the covers off and repaint them silver if you don't like the gray color. I have seen the T stars with the rim polished they look nice polished.

I'm with Gray. Even go as far to leave the covers off.

Sorry Layne; I should've said "M-System." M-System I wheels are turbines fitted to early E34 M5s, M-System II are throwing stars.

Doesn't *really* matter. Turbines and t-star covers are interchangeable.
