Hood questions

while contemplating building a carbon fiber hood for my 91 e34 I discovered many posts referencing "wide" and "narrow" hoods. Can someone splain me the difference and what fits what?

Wide (see my sig) and narrow (square kidneys) grilles, which affects the hood design.

All M60-powered E34s and all '95 M50 cars had wide grilles. All others had narrow grilles.

All the parts are interchangeable; meaning, you can make a narrow-grille car have a wide grille, and vice versa, assuming you have all the necessary parts.

Your car is narrow grill. All V8 E34's and all '95 I6 e34's came with wide grill.
The grill, "header panle" and hood are the parts that are different.
