what is it? for one with Navi, Sport Package, Logic 7 and PDC?

I prefer Canadian prices, but give me US prices too so I have something to work on.

There is a difference of about $6K b/w dealership confidential pricing and RETAIL pricing ... plus, when you add the pacakages you listed above, another $800-1000 profit is added (with all 4 things above). So, dealership is making about $7K on the car at MSRP.

Whether they will discount it at all ... that's another question. P.S. - I am speaking in U.S. currency and looking at the confidential pricing in front of me.

Okay, so based on the exchange rate of 1.3179, then the Canadian dealerships are really making $9225.30.

So they really dont' make that much more on options? for those 4 options it's only like $800-1000?

Wow.....can you tell me the value of the confidential pricing please?

Thanks.

Okay here you go... retail prices are in normal type font, confidential/wholesale prices are in bold font ..

doesn't it piss you off about the Diplomatic discounted price ... WTF!!!

a) US. Port of entry price = $54,300/ $49,575

b) Munich Pick-up = $50,500/ $45,955

c) Diplomatic U.S.A. pick-up = $51,585/ $46,940

1) Navigation = $1800/$1640

2) Sport = $3300/$3005

3) Logic 7 (this is the premium sound??) = $1800/$1640

4) PDC = $700/ $635

These are all in U.S. currency and effective as of September 1, 2003. In addition, you need to add $695 for destination and handling and an additional $1300 if you get SMG for gas guzzler tax (no idea why -- what sheet says).

$4725+$160+$295+$160+$65 = $5405 profit that each car sold in this fashion would make a dealership, average of about 10% profit then per car.

Not horribly bad; but, combine this with any kickback incentives they may receive from BMW AG, such as $1K-1.5K allowance for each car, etc...etc. (not sure if any kickbacks are in existence right now) ... then the dealership can walk away with a decent profit.

You can get invoice prices at www.edmunds.com , but if I were in the market right now, I'd try to wait a bit as I've read about rumors of a 550i coming out in '06. Nothing definite though.

Thank for the reminder. I typically don't like edmunds. I preferr Kelly Blue book, but KBB doesn't have the 2004 invoice pricing. Wierd.
