So after having the car long enough to find all the problems. I am starting to feel overwhelmed.. I knew the windows had issues and the sunroof. Along with the notorious hatch wiring breaking.

Looks like the sunroof leaked so much it ruined the electrical under the back seat. Causing the wiring for the windows to be shorted out. So the previous owner ran new wires and soldered his own switches for the front windows. :confused

Now they do work right but in order for the rear windows to work i would have to wire up switches. To me seems like a cheap fix. And there is no telling what it will take to repair the hacked harness. I certainly dont want to pour loads of cash in it trying to get it right..:(

The sunroof is stuck almost closed, the rear section just needs to tilt up flush to the front for it to seal. I have removed the clutch and tried manualy to move it but i can only get the inside cover to move about 1 inch.

So i just dont know if its worth the trouble to put anymore money, time and effort into it. :eyecrazy

Did you remove the clutch before trying to manually operate the sunroof? Otherwise it's very hard to move it manually.

Usually when windows and sunroof stop working it's a fuse or GM/RM problem i guess the PO didn't know that.. Nothing unusual.

I am going to pull the carpet and remove all rigged up wiring. See if i can get them working right.

I brain farted with the sunroof and pulled the clutch for the front drive but not the rear :eyecrazy

I will go out there and see if I can get it to move after I pull the rear clutch..

Let me ask this, If he cut any wires in the harness for the windows, would this kill the circuit and make the sunroof not function?
