The heat on my driver side vents and middle vent only blow cold air. have stopped working. The vents on the driver side for the windshield defrost also blow cold air while all the vents on the passenger side are working fine. The heat also sometimes will work on all the vents about 10% of the time randomly. Any idea what the issue/problem cold be?
any input would be great
Btw. The vent is set on heat mode.
thanks
Could be the heater valve

I have a heater problem too and spent 2 days researching old threads about it, not thing was definitive, but I definitely found a lot of good leads. Still no progress on using the word definitive less often.
Anyway, the heater core actually has two cores, one for driver and one for passenger climate zones. There are also two inlets to the heater core via the valve on the firewall. I'd check the valve first. Typically the solenoid fails, causing the valve to close and not send heat to one side or the other. You can do a resistance check on it. Pull the connector by the valve, and check resistance between pins 1-2 and 1-3. If either of them is an open circuit, that is your problem.

in addition, check the bowden cable from your center vent that controls the hot/cold selector dial. i know it sounds weird, but mine came off and wasnt allowing the hot air through any of my panel vents. reseated and reattached it and now it works great. theres not alot of slack, so be careful not to pull on it too much as replacing it would an SOB
I currently have the same problem. I pulled my heater valve and took it apart. While the wire on the inside was still intact, the internal rubber pieces had disintegrated and clogged the valving. I now get heat, but set at 90* it only blows at about 70*. Although I cleaned it real well I think a new one is in order.

Looks to me like a heater valve problem.
