I recently bought an 08' 550i and wanted to know if i could use the ipod.
1. I have no idea if it has the (connectivity module?) but i do have the USB & 3.5mm jack, but no Y cable came with the car (im 2nd owner). So could i buy an OEM cable off ebay and use it or am i not programmed for it at all? What should i notice if i do or dont have the connectivity?
2. Could i also use a regular USB flash drive with MP3's and connect that way?

For my navigation, upon reciving the car i noticed that it had NO software preinstalled so im told to buy a new disk. What i want to know is, do i have to buy the 2011 disk or 2008 disk? Would I need to (Update the cars software beforehand?)
When installing navigation, what is the process? Shoul i buy both disks or just 1 (WEST)?
