I've been reading up and down about EWS II anti theft system. Many people when swapping engines go thru this path, having to find differnet solutions. I myself am installing a new DME in my car an I'm considering my options. First I would have to tow car to somebody that has the stuff to get it aligned. Total price at the end is going to be a little high, and I doubt they do delivery, if you know what I mean. I checked my ignition barrel, and it has the antenna ring. So I have EWS. I have a red label 413 ecu in my car, when following a fellow friends advise on TurnerMotor delete chips for ECU, I only saw a chip for the silver ECU. Salesperson told me red label 413 didn't have EWS. This I found very weird, but he'snthe expert, right. So, what are my options? Money is not easy these days, and I'd love to save some bucks.

You can definately do it but I'd say an expert aftermarket alarm installer may know the best way.
I'm in the progress of a swap and my EWS II was disabled when the PO had an aftermarket immobilser installed.

I'm hoping to not have any issues, keep finding on posts here and there that red label 413 is non ews. I will have my fingers crossed when I install the new dme and I crank the car.
