cruise control acting up

I have a weird problem with my cruise control. First off, it is always making a buzzing noise from the under the hood coming from the cruise control module. Second, when i activate the cruise control, it will randomly slow down or speed up when it wants. Its rather annoying and dangerous when it just accelerates hard, sometimes 5 mph from my set speed. Has anybody had the same problem and fixed it?

Strange. If the solenoid is buzzing and you're having issues I'd start there. If its not that then the CCM is the only other thing I could think of.

Last time I used my cruise control I had the slowing down and speeding up problem. it was actually kind of fun I was going about 80 it slowed me down to about 50 then took off WOT to 110 before I stopped it lol. I haven't used it since.

check the cables inside the engine bay. Make sure they are on good and tight. If they're not, it can cause inconsistencies in speed.
