Bizare ?? when AC blower motor on full, hiting wiper arms??

This is really strange. Every time I turn up the fan speed to full (either on AC or heat) while the windshield wipers are on it makes a loud whack sound like something is getting in the way of the wiper arms underneath. I have the digital AC controls and it only does it on the max fan. If i put it down 2 notches it goes away.

Anybody had this problem before or know whats not working right? I plan on taking off the cowl covers and seeing if i can see something in there after it stops raining here :eek:

I haven't got a clue but for the sake of anyone trying to help you....does it do this even when the car is sitting still? If you lift the wipers off the windshield and try to move the arms is there any slack? You shouldn't be able to move them back and forth at all.

I did the tests with the car sitting still with the same results as moving. Its like when its on full blast something is being pushed out in the way of the wiper arms underneath.
