charcoal canister mounting orientation?

My AA SC install has me relocate the charcoal canister to the psuedo battery tray on the passengers side under the hood. My question is, does it make a difference in which orientation the canister is mounted? Must it stay vertical or can I lay it down and still work the same? My guess is it doesn't matter but I just wanted to check and see if anyone knows a positive answer. :help

If my memory serves me correctly, I think it's mounted laying down on the m42, so I'd say it doesn't matter.

Yeah thanks, from what I've been reading I might just delete it all together. AA wants you to relocate it to the other side of the car when you install the supercharger and its less than a clean looking install over there. Several of the race guys just take it out, plug up the vacuum and TB lines, then add a little crankcase filter to the vent line from the tank.
