Hi Guys,
My neighbor just bought a 2004 M3 with 62,000 miles and wants to buy a warranty, would like recommendations to share with him. Thanks!

1. There was no M3 imported into the USA for the 94 model year ... so you might want to check that he didn't buy a regular e36 with a M3 badge.

2. The car is too old ... I doubt anyone will even sell you a warranty at any sort of acceptable price; I seriously suspect the warranty will cost more than the car. If he wanted a warranty and piece of mind, he should have bought a newer car.

Do a search on google for used car warranties. There are a couple that will cover the car up until 100,000 miles, I believe. Good luck.

Be very careful with those htird party warranties. If you read the fine print alot of them only cover "internal" parts and its up tothem to decide what constitutes an "internal" part. Is an alternator an internal part? is a radiator an internal part?
